Delivery Procedures

BEDSTAR DELIVERY AREAS
 


ONE MAN COURIER SERVICE

We use a one man courier service for most of our smaller item(s) deliveries including bed frames which will arrive flat packed and a range of mattresses that are vacuum packed for ease of transport. The courier service operates between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Saturday. The delivery can take place at any point during the day, estimated time slots for the delivery are issued on the morning of the delivery date.


We cannot determine any time slots, these are issued solely by the courier and cannot be changed once issued. If you are not going to be available in the issued time slot, the courier will card the property to inform you they have attempted delivery and will re attempt delivery the next working day free of charge, after the third attempt the item will be returned to our warehouse and a redelivery charge will be issued if the item is to be sent out again.


To assist our customers on the day prior to delivery we will supply via email the contact details for the courier company along with with tracking details so the customer will be able to find out the delivery time slot on the morning of the delivery and contact the courier directly if required. The time slot issued will usually be within a 3 hour time frame.


The 1 man courier service will only deliver the item(s) to the front door of the property as they are not insured to enter, if you require any further assistance to move the item you will need to arrange this yourself.


If you require a delivery on a Saturday this is available for a surcharge of 30.00

TWO MAN COURIER SERVICE
We use a two man courier service for all of our heavier/larger items including all divan sets, divan bases and standard size mattresses. The courier service operates between 8.00am and 7.00pm, Monday to Saturday. The courier service will issue a 3 hour time slot the day before the planned delivery date via email and SMS (if a mobile telephone number is provided at checkout)


We cannot determine any time slots, these are issued solely by the courier and cannot be changed once issued. If you are not going to be available in the issued time slot the courier will accept a signed note left at the property instructing the courier where you would like the goods leaving, the courier must be able to take this document away as proof of delivery.


If this is not possible then please call the team immediately on 0844 880 1570 to arrange a new delivery date, please note this will incur a redelivery charge.


The courier team will contact you on the day of delivery 30 - 60 minutes prior to arriving to let you know they will be with you shortly. The team will take your item(s) to a room of choice for you and remove item(s) if you have selected our removal service.


We do not offer any type of assembly service. if you require assistance assembling the product you will need to arrange this yourself.


If you require a delivery on a Saturday this is available for a surcharge of 30.00

ITEMS IN STOCK / NEXT DAY DELIVERY SERVICE

Bedstar have a large quantities of stock available for next day / 2 day delivery. Each product on the website will display the availability and and the next available date for delivery.


Once you have added a stock product to cart, you will be able to choose a delivery date at the checkout stage of ordering.

If your item is not in stock and needs ordering from one of our suppliers please check the supplier lead time on the chart below.

These are estimated delivery lead times given to us by our suppliers. Please allow upto 3 - 5 working days* for delivery from our warehouse to the customer. Also note these times are only a guide and may vary slightly depending on the time of the year.

BEDSTAR DELIVERY VEHICLES

Customers should assume that the delivery vehicle will be a long, heavy goods vehicle, weighing approximately 16.5 tones with a height of 14' 3". Therefore it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that such a vehicle has legal access to their property and inform us about any weight, height and parking restrictions, as well as any difficult access points and unadopted roads/ paths in order to help us deliver your order and ensure that we have made arrangements for the appropriate size of delivery vehicle to be used. Failure to disclose this information may result in an aborted delivery and a delivery charge being levied. In order to prevent damage to our/ contracted vehicles, unadopted roads, paths and tracks will not be taken by delivery vehicles. Alternative routes must be provided by the customer.

TRACKING YOUR DELIVERY

Please e-mail deliveries@bedstar.co.uk or call 0844 880 1570 giving details of your order number and bedstar will be able to inform you of the status of your order and estimated delivery time.

AVAILABLE DELIVERY DAYS

Available days for delivery are Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7.00am - 7.00pm. Some items may be available for a Saturday delivery at an extra surcharge. Please email deliveries@bedstar.co.uk with details of your selected item(s) and a representative of bedstar will be able to inform you whether your item(s) can be dispatched for a Saturday delivery.

CONFIRMING YOUR DELIVERY DATE

We will never arrange a delivery date without contacting and confirming the date with you first. Once your item(s) is ready for dispatch either we will contact you or our contracted delivery service will contact you in order to arrange a mutually suitable delivery date.

OTHER DELIVERY INFORMATION

Bedstar/ contracted deliverers will not remove existing pieces of furniture to help make room for newly delivered products. Likewise, old pieces of furniture will not be taken away. The customer must take the responsibility to organize the removal and disposal of unwanted furniture.

Bedstar and our contracted deliverers if requested by the customer will assist the customer in taking the order into the premises, to the appropriate room. However, prior to delivery permission must be sought by Bedstar and if agreed, both Bedstar/ the contractor and the personnel of Bedstar/ the contractor will not accept liability for any damage both to the delivered product and to the customers property, (including all types of fixtures, fittings and building structure), whilst assisting the customer with such a request. The customer must solely take responsibility for this action. Any consequent damage should fall under the customer's household insurance.

It will be expected that the passageway and the necessary room(s) will have been cleared in order to make way for the order.

Bedstar/ third party contractors will not assemble any orders even if requested to do so. The assembly of orders is the responsibility of the customer. Preparation for delivery: Customers are advised when accepting goods to have protective sheets available as the goods been delivered may have transferred through a number of warehouses and delivery vehicles. Bedstar will not accept any liability for any damaged caused.
